Mahindra will launch a special edition or affordable variant of BE 6 in India on November 26, while the XEV 9S 7-seater electric SUV will be launched on November 27.
Mahindra is scheduled to introduce its first all-electric 7-seater SUV XEV 9S on 27 November 2025. Now it seems that the company is preparing to make its Scream Electric event in Bengaluru even more special, because another new model has been added to the launch list and its first teaser has also arrived.
The teaser clearly shows that this electric SUV will not be completely new as its design is similar to the BE 6. Mahindra is going to launch it a day earlier on 26th November and considering the good response received by the Batman Edition, it could be a special edition of the BE 6. In the teaser, Mahindra said, “Get ready to drive the winning formula.”
Hence, it is being speculated that this model could be a special edition inspired by Mahindra’s efforts in Formula E, an all-electric racing series. Another possibility is that the red body may be inspired by a superhero theme, like Deadpool, but there is no clear indication of such in the teaser. Overall, from the teaser it seems that this could be a new variant in the BE 6 lineup, which will probably be placed in the starting position of the range.
Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 were both launched in India a year ago and the To attract more customers, Mahindra may introduce a more affordable version of the base pack One trim.
The teaser does not show the C-shaped LED daytime running lights at the front and rear, which are considered to be the hallmark of the BE 6’s design. It is believed that to make this upcoming new trim more affordable, the company may reduce some features and make cost-cutting changes. Currently, the starting price of BE 6 is Rs 18.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Apart from this, Mahindra XEV 9S is going to be the biggest attraction of this event. It is built on the INGLO platform like the BE 6 and XEV 9e. Its design is inspired by the XUV.e8 concept and it will have two battery options. The company claims that its actual range can be more than 500 km on a single charge. Many teasers of this vehicle have been released and more of its features have been revealed in the new teaser.
Mahindra has confirmed that the soon-to-be-launched XEV 9S will have an electric Boss Mode. Other special features of the XEV 9S include an opening panoramic sunroof, which was not offered in the XEV 9e. Apart from this, it also gets triple-screen dashboard, dual-zone climate control, BYOD feature, premium Harman Kardon speakers, leatherette seats, ventilated seats, digital key, self-parking facility, level-2 ADAS, fully LED lighting and many other modern features.
