Mahindra XEV 9S 7-seater electric SUV to be launched in Bengaluru on November 27 and will be based on INGLO platform
Mahindra will launch the third premium electric car in its Born Electric range, the XEV 9S, which is a 7-seater SUV, in the Indian market on November 27. Mahindra has recently released 2 teasers of this electric SUV, in which a glimpse of its exterior and interior can be seen. It is believed that this model will be the company’s new flagship electric SUV, which will be positioned above the XEV 9e.
This electric car will be full of technology and luxury features. In a recently released video teaser, Mahindra revealed that the interior of the XEV 9S will be very similar to the XEV 9e. The video shows the SUV’s dashboard featuring three 12.3-inch displays, a two-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive buttons, illuminated Mahindra logo, and sliding second-row seats.
Talking about interior features, it will have features like AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-up Display), ventilated front seats (with memory function and 6-way power adjustment), manual lumbar support, Harman sound system with Dolby Atmos, and 65W USB Type-C fast charging ports.
The exterior design may include features like sequential turn indicators, 19-inch alloy wheels, kick-activated power tailgate, and approximately 150 liters of additional front storage (Frunk). In terms of safety, the XEV 9S will have the most advanced safety features of any car made in India.
These will include forward collision warning system, automatic emergency braking, driver drowsiness detection, lane keeping assist and lane centering function, blind spot detection, cross traffic alert (front and rear), door open alert. Apart from this it has 7 Airbags will also be included. Although the design silhouette of the XEV 9S will be similar to the XUV700, the SUV will be based on a new skateboard platform. It will be provided with modern features like semi-active dampers, variable ratio power steering, regenerative braking, and one-pedal driving mode.
It is expected to include the same battery pack as the Both variants will have a rear-wheel drive (RWD) layout and permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM).
