Tata Motors recently increased the prices of its micro-SUV Tata Punch in India. On the other hand, the carmaker has also slashed the prices of some variants of the Tata Punch. Some models become expensive by up to Rs 15,000 after the price hike. Many car manufacturers are raising their prices due to the increase in the cost of raw materials.
The current price of punch manual transmission ranges from Rs 5,82,900 to Rs 8,88,900. The old price of the same was Rs 8,88,900 from Rs 5,67,900. The price of Pure and Pure Rhythm trims has been hiked by Rs 15,000. Similarly, the price of Adventure and Adventure Rhythm trims has been hiked by Rs 12,000. Similarly, the Accomplished trim gets a price hike of Rs.7,000. Variants under Rs 10,000 include Creative, Creative DT, Creative IRA and Creative IRA DT trims.
After the price hike, the punch automatic transmission variant is priced between Rs 7,24,900 to Rs 9,48,900. The old price of the same was from Rs 7,12,900 to Rs 9,48,900. The Adventure and Adventure Rhythm trims have received a price hike of Rs 12,000. Nipun trim, on the other hand, gets a hike of Rs 7,000. Similarly, the price of Creative, Creative DT, Creative Era and Creative Era DT trims has been slashed by Rs 10,000.
The Tata Punch Micro SUV, which was launched in India last year (2021), has achieved a 5-star rating in terms of safety. This car has got 16.45 points out of 17 in adult safety rating. However, the micro-SUV gets a 4-star rating (40.89 out of 49.00) for child occupant protection. If you are on a budget of Rs 10 lakh and are quite selective about your security, then you cannot settle for any better option other than Punch. Tata Punch is powered by ‘New Gen 1.2L Revotron BS6 Engine’ with latest ‘Dyna-Pro’ technology. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of the MT variant is 18.97 kmpl while that of the AMT variant is 18.82 kmpl.
