Deliveries of the updated Skoda Kushaq will begin from next month and it gets a number of changes both inside and out, along with a host of new features and latest technology.
Skoda India has started production of the updated Kushaq at its Chakan plant near Pune. This SUV is an important part of the company’s plan, in which the price is kept under control by making more and more parts in India, but the quality and international standards are not compromised. The updated model was revealed earlier this year and deliveries are now expected to begin in March 2026.
Skoda Kushaq has been playing an important role in both the company’s sales in India and exports abroad for a long time. This was the first car in the program designed keeping India in mind, which was specially designed according to the roads and weather here. According to the company, its facelift model has received good response from customers. Also, the manufacturer has recorded total annual sales of more than 1,17,000 vehicles in the year 2025.
Talking about design, many major changes are seen in Kushaq facelift. At the front, there are redesigned headlamps with new LED daytime running lights, which are joined by a segmented light strip. The grille and bumpers have also been reshaped, incorporating angular metallic accents. There is a new badge on the bonnet and illuminated brand lettering on the tailgate, with which split LED tail lamps are available.
In terms of features, major updates have been made especially in the Prestige and Monte Carlo variants. These include a panoramic sunroof, a 26.03 cm digital instrument cluster, ventilated and power adjustable front seats and a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system, which also includes a Google-based AI assistant. Apart from this, segment-first rear seat massage function, front parking sensors and upgraded audio system with amplifier and subwoofer is also provided.
The Monte Carlo edition has been given a sporty look, which includes dark exterior elements, red grille highlights, exclusive badges, dual-tone roof and sequential indicators. Whereas in the Prestige variant, the emphasis is on chrome detailing, light interior shades and classic design theme.
Engine options include 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engines available as before. However, rear disc brakes have now been added to the 1.5-litre engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, a new 8-speed torque converter automatic and a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox with the smaller engine.
