Skoda India has recorded record sales in H1 2026 and sold a total of 38,894 cars, a growth of 7.5 percent over H1 2025

Skoda Auto India has sold 38,894 cars in the first half (January-June) of 2026. This is the highest six-month sales in the company’s 26-year history in India. Due to the strong demand for the affordable Kylaq and performance models like Octavia RS and Kodiaq RS, Skoda is continuously strengthening its hold in the Indian market.

The company’s sales increased by 7.5 percent to 36,194 units in the first half of 2025. However, Skoda is yet to share model-wise sales figures. But according to retail sales data from January to May 2026, Kylaq has made the biggest contribution. During this period, the company has sold 19,954 units of this compact SUV.

At the same time, the sales of Slavia have decreased significantly in recent months. Its 6,198 units were sold between January and May 2026. On the other hand, there has been some improvement in the sales of Kushaq after getting the facelift earlier this year, but it is still far behind its rivals. Its sales of 5,911 units have been recorded between January and May.

Talking about imported models, Kodiaq is currently included in Skoda’s portfolio. The company imports its CKD kits from Czech Republic and assembles them at the plant located in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra). Whereas the recently launched Kodiaq RS is completely a CBU model and its availability has been limited to only 50 units. Between January and May, the company sold 611 units of the regular Kodiaq.

The company will also launch the Skoda Slavia facelift in August. Many changes can be seen in the exterior design, while the layout of the cabin is expected to remain largely the same as before. The new Slavia can get new features like full-LED headlamps and taillamps, rear dynamic turn indicators, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and better AC system.

Apart from this, the existing 6-speed automatic gearbox is likely to be replaced by an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is expected to provide better performance and about 5 percent more mileage. However, no changes are likely to be made in the engine options.
