Will get more advanced ADAS
The current Creta has 20 safety features under Level-2 ADAS. According to the report of Motor Octane, the new generation model is expected to get an even more advanced Level 2+ ADAS system, which has also been seen in the new Kia Seltos. A total of 28 driver assist features can be provided in it. These may include navigation-based smart cruise control, frontal collision warning, junction crossing assist and many more modern safety features, which will make driving safer and easier than before.
New PLEOS infotainment system
The biggest change in the cabin of the new Creta can be seen in the form of its new PLEOS infotainment system. Hyundai has already offered this system in some of its international models. It is believed that the new Creta can be given a larger touchscreen than 15 inches. This system will support over-the-air (OTA) updates, so that new features can be easily added in the future.
The special thing is that OTA updates will not be limited to just software, but if needed, some mechanical settings like suspension can also be updated. Apart from this, the digital instrument cluster found in the current model can also be replaced with a new and slim display. Driving related information will be displayed in it, while most of the controls and settings can be operated through the infotainment screen.
HUD and wireless phone connectivity
The top variants of the current Creta still lack features like Head-Up Display (HUD) and built-in wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. For wireless connectivity, a separate adapter has to be used. This shortcoming can be removed in the new generation Creta. It is expected that like the Kia Seltos, it will also be given Apple CarPlay with HUD and wireless Android Auto. Also, wireless phone connectivity can be made a standard feature in most variants.
