10 models of Maruti Suzuki were included in the list of top 25 best selling cars of April 2026, out of which 8 cars have made it to the top 13.
April 2026 has proved to be a great month for the passenger vehicle industry. Many companies started the new financial year with strong sales and the list of top 25 best selling cars was dominated by companies like Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra, Tata Motors, Hyundai, Toyota and Kia India.
Maruti Suzuki’s dominance in this list was clearly visible as 10 models of the company were included in the top 25, out of which 8 models were successful in making it to the top 13. Maruti Suzuki Dzire was the best selling car in April 2026. Its 23,580 units were sold, which is 39 percent more than in April last year.
The second position was taken by Tata Punch, which sold 19,107 units. It has registered an impressive annual growth of 53 percent. Whereas Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Last month, it stood third with 19,063 units, just 44 units behind the Punch. Maruti Suzuki Fronx, WagonR and Baleno took the fourth, fifth and sixth positions. An increase of 31 to 39 percent was recorded in the sales of all these models.

Tata Nexon was ranked seventh in the list of top 25 cars, while Maruti Suzuki Swift was ranked eighth. Hyundai Creta slipped to ninth position with a 10 per cent decline in sales at 15,291 units last month. Mahindra Scorpio stood at tenth place in the list with sales of 14,719 units and its sales also declined by 5 percent.
April was a bit weak for Maruti Suzuki Brezza as its sales fell 17 percent to 14,124 units. Hyundai Venue attracted the most attention. Its sales increased by 56 percent to a record 12,420 units, largely due to the recent updates and 5-star Bharat NCAP rating.
The highest annual growth has been recorded by Maruti Suzuki Alto and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Alto sales increased by 94 percent to 10,856 units and Hyrider sales increased by 96 percent to 9,115 units. Both the Kia Seltos and Sonet crossed the 10,000 units mark in April.
