TVS Apache RTX 300 will be the company’s first adventure motorcycle and will be powered by the all-new RT-XD4 engine.
TVS Motor Company is all set to launch its first adventure motorcycle in the Indian market. Apache RTX 300 will probably be launched in the Indian market on October 15. The Apache RTX 300 was first showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo earlier this year and its testing model has also been spotted on several occasions.
Apart from being the first adventure motorcycle from the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, the RTX 300 will be the first model in the brand’s line-up to be powered by the new RT-XD4 engine, which was revealed at MotoSoul 2024. This engine is a 299 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled unit, which produces 35 PS of power and 28.5 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch.
Based on a steel trellis frame, the RTX 300 is similar to the Apache RR 310 and RTR 310. According to the information we have obtained, the RTX 300 will be a road-biased ADV, which will come with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels shod with block-pattern tyres. Talking about hardware, it will get long-travel USD forks at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear.
Design-wise, this adventure-focused bike sports sporty looks along with some adventure-oriented elements like a distinctive ADV beak, a tall windscreen, mid-set foot pegs, knuckle guards, luggage rack and a sturdy engine guard. The RTX 300 features a split headlamp setup at the front and a thick fairing, giving it a modern and impressive look.
Talking about the features, RTX 300 will have features like 5-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. Apart from this, riding modes, switchable rear ABS, traction control, cruise control and cornering ABS will also be a part of this package.
The Apache RTX 300 will have several rivals in its segment, including the KTM 390 Adventure X, BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and Yezdi Adventure. With the recent reduction in GST rates, we expect the starting price of TVS’s first adventure bike to be quite attractive.
