The starting price of the
Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover will now be available in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier its price was around Rs 2.50 lakh, but the company has reduced it by around Rs 1 lakh (about 40%) by launching a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme called Battery Flex. This battery subscription model has been launched in partnership with Ecofy, in which customers will have to pay a subscription of Rs 2,499 every month. This expenditure is generally said to be less than the monthly expenditure on petrol.
This BaaS model will be available in India from March 5, 2026. With Battery Flex package, 5 years warranty will also be available on the battery. After completion of the subscription period the ownership of the battery will be transferred to the customer without any additional charges. Under this scheme, customers pay the price of the bike’s chassis, while a separate monthly subscription has to be paid for the battery.
The company’s CEO and co-founder Narayan Subramaniam said, “Earlier the price of this bike was around Rs 2.5 lakh, which was at par with petrol bikes of similar capacity. But now at a starting price of Rs 1.5 lakh, customers will get better technology, more features and good performance. He says that with a low expense of around Rs 2,499 per month, running this bike can be more economical than petrol bikes.”
The Ultraviolette It is said to be the world’s first radar-integrated motorcycle, which has a 77 GHz long-range rear radar that can monitor a distance of up to 200 meters.
Many ADAS features have been provided in this electric bike, which include blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alert and rear collision warning. The company claims that it is the first company to provide ADAS technology in two-wheelers. It also has the world’s most power-dense air-cooled on-board charger, which can work even in temperatures up to 50°C.
This bike comes with a 10.3 kWh battery pack and claims to offer a range of up to 323 km on a single charge. Its electric motor produces 40 bhp power and 100 Nm torque. This bike accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and its top speed is 145 km/h. It also has three ride modes including Glide, Combat and Ballistic.
