India Yamaha Motor has today announced the price of its first electric scooter EC-06. The ex-showroom price of this new electric scooter has been kept at Rs 1,67,600 in Delhi. This scooter will be available in Bluish White color and will be sold through Yamaha’s premium Blue Square showrooms in select cities. With the launch of EC-06, Yamaha has officially entered the electric mobility segment.
This launch is in line with the Government of India’s ‘National Mission on Transformative Mobility’ and the target of Net-Zero emissions by 2070. Through EC-06, Yamaha is strengthening its carbon-neutrality goals and contributing towards a self-reliant India. The Yamaha EC-06 has been specially designed for customers looking for a stylish, modern and practical commuter.
This electric scooter offers a certified range of 169 kilometers, making it a great choice for everyday commuting. The scooter has IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) and 4kWh fixed battery. It offers a top speed of 79 km/h, torque of 26 Nm, and peak power of 6.7 kW. There is a warranty of 3 years or 30,000 kilometers on the battery. The EC-06 can be charged from a normal household plug and takes approximately 8 hours to fully charge.
In terms of safety, the motor and battery of the scooter have got IP67 and other electronics have got IP65 certification, making it safe from water and dust. It has three riding modes with Eco, Standard and Power, as well as reverse mode for easy movement in tight spaces.
Yamaha EC-06 comes with modern features like front and rear disc brakes, CBS (Combi Brake System), LCD digital display, LED headlights and taillights, and Yamaha Motor Connect R app support. It also gets 24.5 liters of under-seat storage, which can easily keep helmet and everyday items.
