Jaipur. A road accident involving the convoy of Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar in Rajasthan has created a stir in political circles. Himanshu Dhakad, a 5-year-old boy injured in this accident, died during treatment in the hospital. The deceased child was the only brother of five sisters. Expressing deep grief over this incident, Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLPA) convenor and Nagaur MP Hanuman Beniwal has made a scathing attack on the government and the minister on Twitter (formerly Twitter). Beniwal wrote in his post – “It is extremely sad that the 5-year-old boy Himanshu Dhakad, who was injured in an accident with the vehicle of the convoy of State Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar, died during treatment in the hospital. According to the information received by me, the deceased child Himanshu was the only brother of 5 sisters and eyewitnesses say that the minister did not stop at the spot after this accident. If this is true, then there can be no greater insensitivity than this on the part of the Energy Minister. Can’t be.”
Beniwal has appealed to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma that the state government should take the financial and social responsibility of the family of the deceased child in this tragic incident. He said, “The Energy Ministry and the government should provide financial assistance of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased child, the entire expenses of the family should be borne by the government, and one person should be given a government job.”
This tweet is becoming increasingly viral on social media and there is anger among the people regarding this incident. Many users have demanded a transparent investigation from the government and justice to the victim’s family.
At present, there has been no official confirmation or response to this matter at the administrative level. However, according to sources, the police have informed the higher authorities about the incident and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Locals say the accident was caused by a vehicle belonging to the Energy Minister’s convoy, although it is not clear whether the minister himself was present in the vehicle at the time. The direction of investigation is being decided on the basis of statements of eyewitnesses and CCTV footage.
