Dispur, March 15 (). Regarding the assembly elections to be held in Assam, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday released its first list of candidates for the state. The party has declared the names of its candidates for 14 assembly seats in this list.
According to the official announcement issued by the party, important seats in different areas of the state have been included. The party gave this information through its official ‘X’ account.
According to the official announcement, Achyut Das has been made the candidate from Naoboicha (75) seat, while Pulin Gogoi has been given the ticket from Dergaon (104). Jarbom Kutum from Gohpur (72) and Anurupa Dekaraja from Central Guwahati (36) have been fielded.
The party has fielded Ashish Hazarika from Khumtai (106), Tapan Gogoi from Sivasagar (96) and Tikendra Thapa from Rongnadi (74). Apart from this, ticket has been given to Jahidul Islam Khan from Chenga (23) seat and Ranjit Boro from Nadaur (69).
In the AAP list, Pallav Saikia has been made the candidate from Titabar (102), Jinnah Amir Hussain from East Goalpara (14), Barun Bikas Das from Raha (61) and Renuka Timungpi from Bokajan (108). Ananta Gogoi has been fielded from Vishwanath (70) seat.
This list has been released with the signature of Rajesh Sharma, state in-charge of the party in Assam. According to the party, these candidates have been selected keeping in mind the local political conditions, organizational activism and their hold among the public.
Party sources say that candidates for the remaining seats will also be announced in the coming days. In Assam, AAP has been busy strengthening the organization for the last few years and the party aims to further strengthen its political presence in this election.
