Sriganganagar. Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur has given instructions to ensure that the Bal Vahinis run in schools are operated as per the rules and the standards are met. In compliance with this, on the instructions of District Legal Services Authority Chairman Ravindra Kumar (District and Session Judge), Sri Ganganagar, District Legal Services Authority Secretary Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary (Additional District and Session Judge), Sri Ganganagar, on Wednesday, District Transport Officer Devanand, Motor Vehicle Inspector Devendra Kumar, Traffic Police Incharge Rajesh and their team conducted a surprise inspection of child vehicles passing through Suratgarh Bypass, Kisan Chowk. ADJ Suthar said that the Honorable State Legal Services Authority has taken cognizance of the reports of children being crammed into children’s homes run in the state and not meeting the prescribed standards. In compliance with this, a surprise inspection of child vehicles has been conducted by the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the District Transport Department and Traffic Police. On this occasion, most of the hair vessels were found not to be operating as per the prescribed standards. In Bal Vahanis, the drivers were not found to have valid license, vehicle insurance, vehicle fitness, GPS, iron grill, fire extinguisher, name of the school on the back of the vehicle and name of the driver etc. which is extremely dangerous for the safety of the children. The District Transport Department and Traffic Police issued challans to some child vehicles on the spot and instructed them to meet the prescribed standards and some vehicles were confiscated. Similarly, ADJ Ravi Prakash Suthar visited Floradale Public School and Chaitanya Public School and discussed with the principals and drivers there. During this, instructions were given to the school administration and drivers to ensure that all child vehicles meet the prescribed standards and complete the documents. During this time, ADJ has appealed to the parents not to allow their minor school going children to go to school in their own vehicle.
The District Transport Officer has appealed to all the school directors, managers and Bal Vahini drivers of the district to fulfill the prescribed standards along with all the documents of their respective Bal Vahini, otherwise in case the standards are not met, their challans will be issued immediately or they will be confiscated.
