New Delhi, May 28 (). The political atmosphere in Karnataka has become more heated after the resignation of Siddaramaiah from the post of Chief Minister. Regarding this entire matter, leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party have made a scathing attack on Congress and have raised many serious questions regarding the politics of the state.
BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh targeted the Congress and said that a kind of ‘tendering system’ is going on within the party for power. According to him, just like bidding for any project is being done in Congress, similarly states and posts are also being distributed. He sarcastically said that the leader who has the ‘highest bid’ is made the Chief Minister and the one who is left behind is removed. He says that Siddaramaiah’s bid remained weak, hence he had to step down from the post.
Gaurav Vallabh further said that Congress has introduced a model in which leadership selection looks like a ‘bidding’ system rather than a transparent political process.
During this, he also commented on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said that Congress claims that Rahul Gandhi is the biggest leader of India Alliance, but first it should be clear whether India Alliance actually exists or not. He says that opposition parties in different states do not contest elections together, but fight separately.
Gaurav Vallabh said that in states like West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, opposition parties contested elections separately, which raises the question whether there is actually any alliance or not. He said that if an alliance does not exist, then claiming its leadership also comes under question.
At the same time, BJP spokesperson RP Singh also expressed concern over the situation in Karnataka. He said that political tussle has been going on in the state for the last several months, which is directly impacting the administration. According to him, the public is suffering the loss due to the ongoing instability within the government.
RP Singh said that in big cities like Bengaluru, civil services have been affected and administrative work has also slowed down. He alleged that the Congress leadership is entangled in its internal differences, which is affecting the development work of the state.
