This entire incident took place in Aami of Khaira police station area of the district, where Tannu, a resident of the district, married her brother-in-law Rahul. Rahul, a resident of Bataspur in Lakhisarai district, married Neelam, a resident of Aami village. Neelam died sometime after the marriage, leaving behind her one and a half year old daughter. After this Tannu went to her brother-in-law’s house to take care of her sister’s one and a half year old child. She not only took care of the child but also gave him love like a mother. During this time, she gradually gets closer to her brother-in-law Rahul and they fall in love.
When the family members came to know about this relationship, they initially opposed it. Tannu’s parents brought her back to Jamui, but Rahul continued meeting her. In the end, when their relationship came to the fore, it took a lot of effort to convince the family members. Rahul’s friends and relatives also played an important role in this and both the families agreed to this relationship. Finally, Rahul and Tannu got married as per Hindu rituals at the famous Giddheshwar Shiv Temple in Jamui. People from both the families were present. After the marriage, Rahul returned to Lakhisarai with his new wife Tannu. The family members say that their little girl has found her mother and happiness has returned to their house. Tannu and Rahul said that they got married of their own free will and there was no pressure on them from anyone. Rahul and Tannu looked very happy with their marriage.
