Chennai . The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted mainly dry weather for the next two days in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. According to the department, this change will be due to change in the pattern of easterly winds active in the region. Although there is no possibility of heavy rainfall, IMD has advised people to remain alert regarding fog in the morning, slight drop in night temperatures in some areas and strong surface winds in coastal areas. According to IMD, light mist or fog may occur at some places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal in the early morning hours. The Meteorological Department said that there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature in most parts of the state.

IMD has warned that fog or frost-like conditions may occur at one or two places in these areas late at night or early in the morning, which may affect visibility and cause problems in morning travel.
Chennai and surrounding suburbs are likely to remain partly cloudy throughout the day. Light rain may occur at some places in the early morning hours. The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be between 30 to 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 23 degrees Celsius.
