New Delhi, January 13 (). Australian captain Alyssa Healy has said goodbye to international cricket. He has retired from all formats. She will also not be a part of the Australian team in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. Healy will say goodbye to cricket after the home series of ODI and Test against India in February-March.
Alyssa Healy has not only had an excellent international career, she has also achieved great success with her strong performance in league cricket. Healy, who was a big face of Sydney Sixers in Australia’s Big Bash League, has been associated with UP Warriors in the Women’s Premier League and has captained the team. She remained unsold in the auction for the Women’s Premier League 2026, hence is not a part of the current season.
Alyssa has scored 428 runs in 17 matches for UP Warriors.
He scored over 3,000 runs in 11 seasons playing for the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League. During this period his team was champion twice.
After announcing his retirement, Healy said, “It has always been the biggest honor for him to represent his country. The upcoming series against India will be the last series of his career.”
Alyssa Healy made her international debut in 2010 at the age of 19 against New Zealand. Her name is counted among the best wicketkeeper batsmen of women’s cricket. She was part of eight ICC World Cup-winning Australian teams, including six T20 and two ODI World Cups. She was also a member of Australia’s gold medal-winning team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. After the retirement of Meg Lanning, she became the captain of Australia in 2023.
Hilly has so far played 162 T20, 126 ODI and 11 Test matches for Australia.
