New DelhiThe name of Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, accused in cases of money laundering and spreading hatred in India, had come up in the 2016 Dhaka terror attacks. The then PM Sheikh Hasina’s government had decided to ban Zakir’s Peace TV, but the Yunus government has now approved Zakir Naik’s one-month visit. Zakir Naik’s visit to Bangladesh will start from 28th November and continue till 20th December. During this time he will travel across the country and give speeches.
Dr. Zakir Naik, resident of Mumbai, lectures on Islam and Comparative Religion. It also openly supports many terrorist groups. India had declared his organization Islamic Research Foundation illegal. He is wanted in several cases related to hate speech and inciting communal hatred, registered by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in India. After the Dhaka terror attack, the accused had said that they were inspired by Zakir Naik’s inflammatory speeches.
Dr. Zakir Naik is visiting Bangladesh for the first time. About a year ago, Pakistan had hosted his nationwide visit. Naik was given a grand welcome in Pakistan also. During this visit he met top politicians and officials.
Officials say that Naik has been involved in many anti-India activities. His name has also cropped up in several forced conversion cases in Kerala, which were linked to the banned Popular Front of India (PFI).
A lot of things are going on in Bangladesh after Sheikh Hasina is out of power. The activities of Pakistan and ISI are increasing under Yunus government. ISI commanders are training people in Bangladesh to establish IRA. Pakistan is providing a large number of weapons here. Zakir Naik is entering Bangladesh within a few months of the fall of Hasina’s government.
During his visit, he will also meet the chiefs of many terrorist organizations. Also during his visit to Pakistan, Zakir Naik had met top commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Muhammad Haris Dhar and Faisal Nadeem.
The leaders of terrorist groups whom Zakir had met in Pakistan, all of them have been declared terrorists by America since 2008. Huji is expected to meet commanders of different terrorist organizations like Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Bangladesh (JMB) during his visit to Bangladesh.
With the help of these terrorist groups, ISI hatches conspiracies to carry out attacks in India. In fact, ISI has sent top commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed to Bangladesh to train HuJI and JMB members.
Although the ISI has already planned against India using Bangladesh-based terror groups, Naik’s visit will give impetus to such activities. Naik currently lives in Malaysia and has been refused visa by Britain and Canada.
Regarding the American attack, Naik had given a statement, “If Bin Laden is fighting the enemies of Islam, then I am with him. If he is terrorizing America, which is the biggest terrorist, then I am with him. Every Muslim should be a terrorist.”
