New Delhi, April 27 (IANS). Many times our body gives small signals, but we ignore them considering them as general fatigue or the effect of weather. But this carelessness can become a big problem in future. Especially in a disease like malaria, the initial symptoms seem so normal that people do not understand that the body is fighting an infection from within.
The Ministry of AYUSH posted on its official social media account X that the first symptoms seen in malaria are severe cold and trembling of the body. Suddenly one feels as if one is extremely cold and the body starts shivering badly. After this, high fever occurs, which sometimes increases very much. Many people think that it is a normal viral fever, but the pattern of fever in malaria is slightly different.
Along with this, severe headache is also common. The head starts feeling heavy and one does not feel like doing any work. Weakness and lethargy also increases in the body, due to which the person feels tired throughout the day. In some cases, vomiting and nausea also start, due to which the patient becomes more weak.
As the fever subsides, the body starts sweating profusely. Even the clothes get wet and the body feels completely tired. Many times people also suffer from diarrhea, which increases the risk of water deficiency i.e. dehydration.
The biggest problem is that some people take these initial symptoms lightly. They think that this is just due to changing weather and will get cured on its own. But if malaria is not caught on time, it can take a serious form and affect many parts of the body.
Therefore, it is important that if someone sees symptoms like frequent chills, high fever, headache, vomiting or excessive sweating, then get checked by a doctor immediately. This disease can be easily cured with early treatment.
