New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to embark on a two-day visit to Chennai and Puducherry from Friday to intensify the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election campaign in South India. This visit is being done ahead of the assembly elections to be held in Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Chennai International Airport on Friday afternoon. After landing from there, he will go straight to Puducherry, where he will address a big public meeting in the evening. The meeting is being organized in support of the candidates of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies ahead of the elections on April 9.
After the public meeting, the Prime Minister will return to Chennai on Friday night. Security agencies and local police have started extensive preparations for this high-level visit. Greater Chennai City Police has imposed tight security and other arrangements at key locations.
Multi-layered security, traffic diversions and various restrictions will be implemented to ensure smooth movement and public safety during the Prime Minister’s events.
On Saturday, the Prime Minister will meet with around 100 party officials, grassroots workers and key stakeholders in Chennai.
This closed-door meeting will focus on strengthening the organization at the booth level and sharpening the election strategy before the elections in Tamil Nadu on April 23.
After this, the Prime Minister will attend an election event in support of the NDA candidate in Mylapore, which is considered an important political area of Chennai.
According to party sources, a road show is also being planned in which areas like T. Nagar are being considered. However, the final route has not been officially confirmed yet.
This tour is being considered an important step towards strengthening the BJP’s presence in Tamil Nadu and making its election campaign more effective in Puducherry.
