-All the cows were sent to Hingonia Cow Rehabilitation Center, Jaipur. The Animal Management Branch of Municipal Corporation Jaipur on Thursday launched a large-scale campaign against destitute cows in Ghatgate, Badi Chaupar, Amer Fort, Delhi Bypass Road, Ramgarh Mode area. On the instructions of Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini and under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Seema Sharma, the team formed by Dr. Yogesh Sharma and Dr. Rakesh Kaloria carried out the action by conducting intensive inspection in the entire area. During the campaign, 52 destitute cows roaming on roads, streets and residential areas were rescued and safely sent to Hingonia Cow Rehabilitation Centre. The team checked the condition of the animals present on the spot and completed the transportation process smoothly.
Deputy Commissioner Seema Sharma said that helpless cows roaming in residential areas and main roads not only disrupt traffic but also become the main cause of accidents. Keeping this in view, the Corporation is running regular campaigns in such areas, so that the traffic in the city remains smooth and the safety of animals can also be ensured.
Corporation Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini said that such campaigns will continue in future also. The goal is to free the city from the stray animal problem and transport all the cattle to safe rehabilitation centres.
