Udaipur. On the instructions of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Headquarters, ACB Banswara Unit has carried out a major action on Friday, July 10, 2026. The team, while taking action in Udaipur, has arrested Abdul Qadir, his broker for Dr. Ratan Bilwal (Joint Director, Medical and Health Services Zone, Udaipur), red handed while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 30,000. As soon as the accused got wind of the action, he fled from the doctor’s office and is being searched. Giving information about the case, Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General of Police Govind Gupta said that a complaint was given to ACB Banswara by a complainant. It was told in the complaint that the Joint Director was harassing the complainant by demanding a bribe of Rs 1,30,000 through his broker in exchange for adding the name of a radiologist doctor and issuing his registration approval for the use of sonography machine in the complainant’s lab. After receiving the complaint, when the bribe demand was verified, the bribe demand was confirmed by the accused Dr. Ratan Bilwal agreeing to take Rs 30,000 through his broker Abdul Qadir.
After this, a special team laid the trap under the supervision of Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of ACB and under the leadership of Ratan Singh Rajpurohit (Deputy Superintendent of Police, ACB Banswara). The team laid siege today and caught the accused’s broker Abdul Qadir red-handed while counting and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 30,000 for Dr. Ratan Bilwal.
As soon as he got wind of this, the broker ran away leaving the bribe money, the doctor also absconded.
During the operation, the broker got wind of the ACB, due to which he left the bribe amount in the complainant’s office and started running away. However, after finding clear involvement of accused Dr. Ratan Bilwal and broker Abdul Qadir in demanding bribe from the complainant, the team showed promptness and arrested the broker. On the other hand, the main accused Dr. Ratan Bilwal also got wind of the action and absconded from his office, for whose arrest police teams are continuously raiding.
Case registered under Prevention of Corruption Act
Currently, interrogation and further action is going on against the accused broker Abdul Qadir under the supervision of ACB Additional Director General of Police Smita Srivastava and Inspector General S Parimala. ACB will register a case against the accused under the Prevention of Corruption Act and conduct further investigation in this matter.
