Shimla. Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. In the meeting, approval was given to create 400 posts each of English and Mathematics teachers for CBSE schools of the state. Also, it was decided to appoint one special educator and yoga teacher in each school. The state government has decided to implement CBSE curriculum in 100 government schools. For this, Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned to the Education Department. The government aims to start CBSE classes in these schools by March 2026. Instructions have also been given to complete the necessary infrastructure facilities and deficiencies soon. Giving information about the decisions of the cabinet, Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that separate staff will be appointed in these schools, whose educational qualification has also been decided. Apart from this, one watchman and three multi-task workers will also be appointed in each school.
Amendment in Sukhashray Yojana
The cabinet has also made important changes in the Chief Minister Sukhashraya Yojana. Now such children will also get the benefit of the scheme whose parents are more than 70 percent disabled. Apart from this, children whose parents have passed away or their mother has left them will also be included in the scheme after investigation at the SDM level.
Other important decisions
10 posts of BDO will be filled through direct recruitment. Approval of compassionate appointments in the education department. Under the Chief Minister Small Shopkeeper Scheme, loans up to Rs 1 lakh will be waived off for those whose annual income is less than Rs 10 lakh.
Approval of 174 professor posts in medical colleges.
Recruitment of 600 Assistant Staff Nurses will be done through State Selection Commission.
40 posts of junior engineers were sanctioned in Jal Shakti Department.
