The US launched vigorous bombing campaigns and conducted several covert operations to prevent the communist organization ‘Pathet Lao’ from taking over power. Despite all these efforts, ultimately the Pathet Lao were victorious, and America was unable to succeed in its objective. This conflict is often called the “Secret War”.
