Hajipur. Police are now seen in action in the case of local people attacking the police team which had gone to raid liquor traders in Juravaanpur police station area of Vaishali district of Bihar. In this case, an FIR has been lodged in Juravaanpur police station area, in which 19 people have been made accused. Police have arrested one person in this case. Sadar-I sub-divisional police officer Subodh Kumar said on Wednesday that a policeman was injured in this attack, who is fine now. He said the police had to open fire in the air to disperse the crowd. He told that late on Tuesday evening, the police was arresting the liquor businessman and bringing him to the police station, when the mob attacked the police team. An FIR has been registered against 19 people in this case and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. One accused has been arrested. At present the police has started investigating the entire matter.
Actually, this whole matter is from Paharpur, where the police raided on the information of country liquor. During this time, the police were arresting two people and bringing them back, when the local people protested and attacked the police. It was told that about 30-35 people were included in the crowd, who placed a cart in front of the police vehicle and pelted bricks and stones.
Police personnel were also injured in this attack. To control the crowd, the police fired in the air. The video of this incident is also going viral on social media. The villagers allege that no liquor was found in the raid, yet the police abused and threatened with weapons.
