New Delhi, March 18 (). A massive fire broke out in a four-storey residential building in Palam area of Delhi on Wednesday. So far six people are feared dead in this accident. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed deep grief over this incident and assured appropriate action and all possible help to rescue the people trapped inside the building.

Let us tell you that a fire broke out in a four-storey building located in Ram Market in Palam at 7:04 am on Wednesday. This building belonged to Rajendra Kashyap, in which he had his clothes and cosmetic showroom on the basement, ground and first floor and his family lived on the second-third floor. As soon as Palam village police station received information about the fire, the SHO and his team immediately reached the spot.
So far, 10 people have been rescued safely in the rescue operation and have been admitted to nearby hospitals. But, sadly, 6 people died in Manipal hospital. These include Pravesh (35 years), Kamal (40 years), Ashu (32 years) and three minor girls (12, 6 and 5 years). A woman (38 years) died and a man (40 years) and a 2-year-old girl are undergoing treatment in IGI Hospital. A 19-year-old youth is admitted to Safdarjung Hospital with 25 per cent burn injuries.
The emergency response was very rapid. Around 20 fire engines, 11 CATS ambulances, BSES, Air Force Police and NDRF teams reached the spot. The fire was brought under control after intensive efforts.
FSL team has been called for investigation and all concerned agencies and local police are still present at the spot.
