‘Desi Ghee’ and Jiya Tonki tied the knot
Tonk | The All India Humorous Kavi Sammelan organized at Durga Paradise Marriage Garden on Sunday night under the “Holi Ke Rang Rotary Ke Sang” festival not only tickled the city residents but also filled them with the spirit of patriotism. In this evening organized by Rotary Club, the renowned poets of the country kept the audience engaged till 2 am with their compositions, humorous satire and melodious songs.
Started with cultural enthusiasm
The program was formally inaugurated by the officials of Rotary Club including Sant Ramnivas Maharaj, Sadhguru Pandit Rajkumar Sharma, Mahant Durgapuri and Dr. Pawan Sagar by lighting the lamp in front of Mother Saraswati. After this, Rajasthani lyricist Prem Shastri presented Saraswati Vandana in the sweetness of Marudhara, while poet Pradeep Panwar started the poetry seminar with Shri Ram Vandana.

The center of attraction of the conference was the renowned comic poet Dinesh ‘Desi Ghee’, who with his imagination made the audience laugh at humorous compositions like “If a man had a tail”. Famous poet Pradeep Panwar of Hadoti gave the message of love and brotherhood with songs like “Holi Par Shri Krishna Radha Sang Aaye” and “Rishte Gang-Jaman Ho Jaayein”.
Confluence of love, vigor and patriotism
Dr. Jiya Tonki: The renowned poet won a lot of applause by reciting “Holi Khulkar Khelo Mere Yaar” and his famous line “Meri Har Aastha Ka Naam Hindustan Rakh Dena”.
Poet Usha Das: She won applause with romantic lines like “Tujhe milne ko milo door se hum yaar aaye hain”.
Akshay Bohra: The poet of Oz enthused the youth by reciting “Let us repay the debt of the land on which we were born.”
Daya Sharma: The satirist inspired the daughters for self-defense and made them aware with the lines “Raise your hands, daggers, the time has come”.
Hanuman Badam: He brought alive the fun of Phagun with the song “Aayi Holi Aayi, Rang Gulal Ude”.

The success of the Kavi Sammelan was such that former Chairman Lakshmi Jain, Trade Board President Manish Bansal, many distinguished citizens of the city and a large number of common people stayed till late night. Club President Badal Sahu and Secretary CA Akash Jain honored all the poets and expressed gratitude to the people of Tonk for the successful event.
