President Draupadi Murmu on Saturday extended warm wishes to Guru Gobind Singh on his Prakash Parv and expressed hope that his teachings will continue to guide humanity to build a harmonious society based on unity, compassion and respect for all.
Murmu said Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs, epitomized dignity and sacrifice for ideals even in the face of adversity.“May his teachings continue to guide humanity to build a harmonious society based on unity, compassion and respect for all,” he wrote on social media platform ‘X’.
The President said, “Heartiest greetings to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji! With indomitable courage and remarkable foresight, he inspired people to lead a pious life and united his followers into a force that was passionate about defending the ideals of justice and self-respect and was capable of bravely facing enemies far more powerful than itself.”
