Bhopal, January 18 (). In the last seven days, Madhya Pradesh Police has safely reunited 45 missing boys, girls, women and elderly people across the state with their families due to the prompt action of Dial-112, CCTV monitoring and field teams. These incidents are a living example of the sensitivity, technical efficiency and public service commitment of the police.
Under the ‘Chakshu Abhiyan’ conducted in the fair ground of Naugaon police station area of Chhatarpur district, the police team did an excellent job by continuously monitoring the crowd and in sensitive situations. Due to live monitoring of high-resolution CCTV cameras installed in the fair premises and field duty coordination, a total of 35 children, including 18 girls and 17 boys, arrived safely. The policemen not only rescued the children safely from the crowd, but also immediately verified their identities and reunited them with their families.
Working with a very sensitive and humane approach, three different police station areas in Ujjain district have found lost children safely. Dial-112 quickly found a 7-year-old boy who went missing while visiting the temple in Chimanganj police station from the crowded area. Madhavnagar police station safely found the missing 13-year-old minor boy from Ramghat area with the help of CCTV footage. Similarly, on the basis of checking the streets, shops and cameras, the police found a 2-year-old innocent girl who lost her way while playing in Nanakheda police station area and reunited her with her family safely. In this way, Ujjain police searched three boys and girls in separate proceedings and handed them over to their families.
An 8-year-old boy, who went missing in the crowd during the fair in Rawati police station of Ratlam district, was immediately found by the police on the basis of cordoning off the area, active monitoring of stalls and entry gates and questioning the citizens. Also, the police safely reunited a 50-year-old woman who had lost her way in Namli police station area with her family.
Sehore police station Kotwali started serious investigation as soon as it received information about the missing and kidnapping. With the help of local information sources, CCTV footage, mobile location and field network, two kidnapped children have been identified. Both the children were handed over to their families after health check-up.
In Shahpura police station area of Jabalpur, a 5-year-old boy went away from home while playing and lost his way. As soon as the information was received, Dial-112 interrogated the citizens in the surrounding area and within some time the child was found safely.
A 7-year-old girl had wandered away from home while playing in Shujalpur Mandi police station area of Shajapur district. As soon as the information was received, Dial-112 personnel searched the surrounding areas and found the girl safely. Showing promptness, the police team reunited the girl with her family.
A 70 year old woman had lost her way in Bhikangaon police station of Khargone district. The police dropped him in a safe vehicle and dropped him at home and explained the situation to his family members. All these actions clearly show that Madhya Pradesh Police is fully committed to the safety of citizens—especially children, women and the elderly—with quick response, effective use of technology and human sensitivity.
