New Delhi . Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has called the arrest of Indian Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib by Delhi Police as shameful. He said that the Congress Party stands firmly with the fearless soldiers of the Youth Congress. Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted on social media platform It is in the interest of 140 crore Indians to raise their voice against a government that is compromising India’s interests by bowing to pressure from around the world. The action taken against Youth Congress colleagues for raising the voice of the public is extremely condemnable and shameful. The Congress Party stands firmly with the fearless soldiers of the Youth Congress. Senior leaders of the Congress Party have also expressed their objection to the arrest of Youth Congress National President Uday Bhanu Chib. Senior Congress leader KC Venugopal said that the government is not listening to those who are agitating for the public, who are raising the voice of the common people, who are raising the voice of the farmers.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that if opposing the government is a crime, then every person in the Congress will commit this crime again and again.
Speaking to , Rajnibala, mother of Youth Congress National President, said that Uday Bhanu Chib was arrested on Monday. The police called the protest a conspiracy, but I don’t understand when protests in the country started being considered a conspiracy. We have been given the right in the Constitution to raise our voice if the government does any wrong.
Rajnibala said that Congress has a history that people remained in jail for 10-10 years. The country got independence after great sacrifices of Congress leaders. There were so many protests in the country 11 years ago, but the Congress government never did anything to suppress the protests.
