Drop in temperature: relief from heat
Meteorologist Mahesh Palawat said that due to rain across North India, the maximum temperature of Delhi has dropped significantly. The temperature is expected to remain below normal for the next two to three days also. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the day’s maximum temperature at Safdarjung station was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius—7.1 degrees below the seasonal average. The minimum temperature at night also remained low; Safdarjung recorded a minimum temperature of 18.8 degrees (5.9 degrees below normal), while Palam and Ridge areas recorded 17.9 degrees and 18 degrees respectively.

There is a possibility of rain with strong winds in the afternoon. During the day, winds can reach speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Drizzle and light rain is expected in many areas, while moderate rain may occur at some places.
