Mumbai, September 28 (). Flood situation arose due to excess rainfall in many districts of Maharashtra. Regarding this, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde held a review meeting of Konkan and Marathwada departments and directed the officers to stay on alert mode. Shinde said that the government is fully active and ready to deal with any situation.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there was a meeting regarding the flood control department, in which the District Collector, Municipal Corporation, Police Administration, Irrigation Department, MSAB, NDRF and TDRF officials attended. After discussion with all the stakeholders, it was confirmed that preparations have been completed and all agencies are on alert. The entire machinery is ready to respond effectively in the event of heavy rains at any time.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde told the media that water has been removed from wherever water was stored in the Konkan department. Instructions have been given to transfer citizens to schools and colleges in flood -conditioned areas. Special monitoring is being done on C-1 category dilapidated buildings.

He said that in view of the possibility of falling trees and breaking of electric wires, the authorities have been ordered to be vigilant and receive the phone on time, so that relief work can be done immediately. Swimmer boats have been deployed and the fishing people have been withdrawn. At the same time, special monitoring is also being done on dam areas.

Eknath Shinde said that the lives of citizens will not be allowed to be in danger at any cost. The government’s priority is that every affected person should get help on time.

A review meeting was also held in Marathwada, where all the officers are posted on the field. Cereals and necessary life materials are being delivered to the affected areas. Shinde said that Baliraj’s mothers and sisters are crying, but the government is with them. He assured that there will be no discrimination in help. The terms and conditions will be simplified if needed.
