Dausa. The e-DAR portal was launched online in Rajasthan by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways in collaboration with NIC by SP Sagar Rana from Kotwali police station of Dausa district. This portal will prove to be very useful in improving road safety by collecting and analyzing data related to road accidents.

SP Sagar Rana said that e-DAR portal has been started to settle compensation claims of road accidents. This will help in providing quick justice to the families of victims of road accidents and will provide timely appropriate compensation and other benefits. Around 3061 cases have been registered on the iRED portal being used so far in the last five years. In this, the portal is proving useful in prevention by selecting the black spots (marked places of high number of accidents) of accidents, analyzing the reasons, on the e-DAR portal, the research officers reach the accident site and upload information about the vehicles involved in the accident, the circumstances of the accident, photos, videos, live location etc. By linking the e-DAR portal with the e-Integrated Accident Database (I-RAD) portal, 80 percent more information will be uploaded directly on the e-DAR portal.

e-DAR in-charge V.K. Sharma said that this portal will be able to be directly connected to the e-court in the near future. In the new version e-DAR portal, e-DAR forms 01 to 10 related to police have been developed in compliance with the standard operating procedure mentioned in the Central Motor Vehicles Act and Rules 2022. This database keeps all types of information related to road accidents at one place. Further, the work of integration of e-Court and e-DAR is going on, due to which MACT Court will get direct online information in the near future. Kotwal Sudhir Upadhyay, HC Narendra Singh, Manohar Singh, Dharam Singh played a special role in the work of launching this portal.
