Gurugram. Difficulties are increasing for YouTuber Elvish Yadav and Punjabi singer Fazilpuriya. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a charge sheet against both of them in the special PMLA court in Gurugram. Chandigarh-based company Sky Digital has also been held guilty in this chargesheet. Taking cognizance of the matter, the court has decided to summon both the accused soon. Only after this the court will take further action in this matter. ED investigation has revealed that Punjabi singer Fazilpuriya’s song ’32 Bor’ had earned around Rs 52 lakh. A large part of this earning was spent in purchasing three acres of land in Bijnor, which was worth approximately Rs 50 lakh. Also, during the investigation, a total of Rs 3 lakh was seized from the bank accounts of Elvish Yadav and Fazilpuriya, while Rs 2 lakh was seized from the account of Sky Digital Company. ED has also attached assets worth about Rs 55 lakh of both of them. It all ties into the music video in which both the artists shot with snakes. This case is also known as ‘Cobra Case’, under which Noida Police had earlier registered a case against Elvish Yadav. The allegation in that case was that Elvish Yadav had used snakes illegally in violation of the Wildlife Protection Act. Apart from this, he was accused of also selling live snakes and their venom at rave parties and farmhouses in the NCR region. In this case, the police had also arrested Elvish Yadav after a rigorous investigation.
Considering the seriousness of this entire matter, ED started investigation and found that the snakes and other wild animals used in the song ’32 Bore’ are protected, and their commercial use is against the law. This video was shot by Sky Digital Company, while Elvish Yadav promoted it on YouTube. The income earned from this video on YouTube has also been considered as income from crime, hence it has been confiscated.
It is noteworthy that in September 2024, the Enforcement Directorate had summoned Elvish Yadav and Fazilpuriya to the zonal office of Lucknow and interrogated them. During the investigation, information about the sources of income and properties of both was collected. Now after the court summons the accused, the process of taking their side will begin. Only after this will the next legal proceedings in this matter take place.
