Palamu, 14 September (). A 5 lakh Naxalite Naxalite Mukhdev Yadav was killed in an encounter between security forces and banned Naxalite organization TSPC (third conference presentation committee) on Sunday in Manatu forest of Palamu district of Jharkhand.
According to the information, the security forces started a large -scale search operation by targeting the 10 lakh prize commander Shashikant. The Naxalites started firing when the joint team of Cobra, Jharkhand Jaguar and other security forces was combing.
Mukhdev Yadav was killed in retaliation. Mukhdev had several serious cases registered and he was also involved in the encounter in Palamu on September 3, in which two police personnel were martyred.
Police officials said that Sunday’s campaign is the biggest operation so far, which included more than 200 security personnel. Shashikant’s squad has been reported to have 8 to 10 members, including Mukhdev and another prize Naxalite Nagina.
Earlier on September 7, police and security forces killed Amit Hansda alias Apon by police and security forces in an encounter on the Burjuwa hill of Goilkera police station area of West Singhbhum district. Amit, a resident of Dhodi village in Bokaro district, was wanted in 96 Naxalite incidents.
According to data from Jharkhand Police, on an average three Naxalites are being killed in the state every month. Police estimate that 100 to 150 Maoists are currently active in the state. At present, 58 Naxalites are in the prize list, on which a reward of a total of Rs 5 crore 46 lakh is declared.
In the most wanted list of Jharkhand Police, CPI Maoist has 13 major Naxalites, of which Misir Besra, Patiram Manjhi and Asim Mandal have a reward of one crore each.
Apart from these, Anmol, Mochhu, Ajay Mahato, Again Angaria, Ashwin, Pintu Lohra, Chandan Lohra, Jaikant and Rapa Munda are also included in the list.
This year the biggest encounter against Naxalites took place on April 21, when eight Maoists, including one crore prize Prayag Manjhi alias Vivek, were killed on the Lugu mountain in Bokaro district.
Jharkhand Police and Central Forces are campaigning under the target of making the state Naxal -free by March 2026. A total of 24 Naxalites have been killed since January this year.
