**Batting line-up wobbles after good start**
The Pakistan captain also expressed disappointment over the performance of the batsmen. According to him, the team was in control of the match in the initial stages, but later the batting lineup collapsed like a house of cards. Fatima Sana said, “We performed well in the powerplay and the match was equal at that time. However, after that our batting completely faltered. Due to the continuous fall of wickets, we could not make a comeback. The batsmen will have to take more responsibility in the coming matches.”
**Pakistan had to struggle in the death overs**
Fatima Sana admitted that her team failed to withstand the pressure in the last overs. He said that Pakistan was in the match till the 15th over, but later due to giving extra runs and strategic mistakes, the match went in favor of India. According to the captain, “At one time we were in a good position, but later we gave away too many runs.” “Also, due to the slow over-rate we were forced to have an extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle – which the Indian batsmen took advantage of.” Explaining the slow over-rate, he said that due to India’s left-right-handed batsman combination, bowlers and fielders had to constantly change their positions. He told that the Pakistan team is very young and the players are still gaining experience in such a big tournament. According to him, the team will learn to handle such situations better in future.
