Bhopal . Chief Minister Mohan Yadav gave instructions to take action in the case of robbery of approximately Rs 3 crore of Hawala money in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, on which five police personnel including Sub Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Pooja Pandey have been detained. CM Mohan Yadav said that the culprits will not be spared at any cost. In fact, during vehicle checking in Seoni recently, Rs 2 crore 96 lakh of hawala money was recovered from a vehicle. This amount was digested by the police personnel including SDOP Pandey. This came to light when the businessman complained to Seoni police station. Taking this matter seriously, the police suspended 11 police personnel including SDOP Pandey. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has taken a tough stand in the Seoni robbery case and lodged an FIR against the culprits. An FIR has been registered against 11 policemen including Seoni SDOP Pooja Pandey, out of which five accused have been taken into custody. This includes SDOP Seoni Pooja Pandey, SI Arpit Bhairam, Constables Yogendra, Neeraj and Jagdish.
Chief Minister Yadav said that maintaining law and order in the state, creating a crime-free environment and protecting the citizens is the main responsibility of the police officers and employees. The state government will not tolerate policemen acting beyond their duties.
Referring to the Seoni case, he said that whoever is found guilty in the Seoni case will face strict disciplinary action along with legal action. The law in the state is equal for everyone. Those who violate the law will not be spared, no matter who they are. The state government is continuously working to establish good governance in the state. No one’s interference will be tolerated in this direction.
It has been told that in the Seoni case, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 310 (2) robbery, 126 (2) wrongful restraint, 140 (3 kidnapping) and 61 (2) criminal conspiracy of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Apart from the 5 detained officers and employees against whom FIR was registered, they include Head Constable Makhan, Head Constable Rajesh Janghela, Head Constable Ravindra Uike, Constable Ritesh Verma, SAF Constable Kedar and SAF Constable Subhash Sadaphal.
