Jaipur The weather in Rajasthan has become harsh with the end of March and beginning of April. In most parts of the state, a rise of 2 to 5 degrees Celsius has been recorded in the day temperature due to increasing heat of the sun. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), this heat wave is likely to increase further in the next three-four days.
Key temperature figures: Kota and Barmer were the hottest. Heat wave-like conditions were seen in the southern and western districts of Rajasthan on Saturday.
Hottest cities: Kota and Barmer recorded a maximum temperature of 39.6 degrees Celsius, the highest in the state.
Situation in major cities: In Jaipur, Bhilwara and Jaisalmer the mercury remained at 36.5 degrees, while in Udaipur and Jalore it crossed 37 degrees Celsius.
Temperature surge: The mercury in Kota rose by 5 degrees in a single day, indicating the severity of the sudden change in weather.
Sunshine after ‘clouds and rain’ in North Rajasthan
The scene on Saturday morning in the northern parts of the state (Bikaner division) was different.
It was cloudy in the morning in Sriganganagar, Anupgarh and Hanumangarh and there was light drizzle at some places.
However, by noon the sky cleared and the strong sunshine brought the temperature here too to 33 to 35 degrees.
Meteorological Department’s forecast: Heat will increase further
According to the Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, at present the sky is completely clear over Rajasthan and no new Western Disturbance is active.
Warning: Due to clear sky in the next 3-4 days, there will be direct sunlight, due to which the temperature may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
Heat even at nights: Now not only the day, but the minimum temperature at night in Western Rajasthan has also reached 25 degrees Celsius, due to which the coolness of the night is also ending.
