Speeding remains a problem in Jehanabad. The latest incident took place on the Jehanabad-Gaya four-lane NH-22, where a speeding Bolero overturned after hitting a divider and collided with a truck coming from the other side. The drivers of both the vehicles were seriously injured in this accident. Local people immediately took the injured to the hospital.
As soon as the information was received, a large number of villagers gathered at the spot. According to eyewitnesses, the sound of the collision was so loud that people thought a major accident had happened. There was chaos on the spot.
This incident happened near Umta village of Makhdumpur police station area. A police patrolling team reached the spot and diverted the traffic. Police have seized both the damaged vehicles and have started further investigation. According to police officials, the Bolero coming at a high speed from Gaya lost control and hit the divider and collided with a truck, due to which the Bolero was completely damaged. Both the injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
