Udaipur. Udaipur, known as Lake City, looked completely drenched in saffron color of devotion and enthusiasm on Wednesday. The occasion was a huge saffron vehicle rally organized on the eve of the arrival of the Indian New Year Vikram Samvat 2083. In this four-wheeler rally organized under the aegis of the Indian New Year Samaj Utsav Committee, the crowd gathered so much that the main roads of the city started appearing small. This event not only gave the message of arrival of New Year, but also gave a grand display of cultural unity of Mewar.
The rally started from the famous Mahakal Temple located on Rani Road, where the revered saints present flagged off the convoy of vehicles by showing the saffron flag. The scene of the rally was extremely glorious, in which the national flag was marching in the front waving the tricolor, which was showing the unique confluence of patriotism and culture. Hundreds of four-wheelers were lined up behind the tricolor, decorated with saffron flags and banners with New Year greetings.
Amazing confluence of enthusiasm and welcome
Starting from Mahakal Temple, the rally passed through various major intersections and busy routes of the city. As the rally progressed, the enthusiasm of the youth and the society increased. The entire atmosphere resonated with resounding slogans and patriotic songs. Social organizations and local residents welcomed the participants grandly by showering flowers at various places along the route of the rally. At many places, flowers were showered from rooftops, due to which the entire city was immersed in a festive atmosphere.
The participation of youth was especially notable in the rally. Holding the saffron flag in their hands, the youth not only registered their presence but also showed their loyalty towards Indian traditions. The rally culminated at the Sub-City Centre, where the march was brought to an end with a mass proclamation.
Resolution and future program of Panch Parivartan
Committee coordinator Dr. Paramveer Singh Dulawat told that this year’s event is not limited to just festivals. This time the Indian New Year Samaj Utsav Committee is celebrating the new year with the resolution of Panch Parivartan. Under this, the main goals are to awaken the sense of self in the society, promote social harmony, awareness towards environmental protection, family enlightenment i.e. strengthening family values and bringing awareness towards civic duties.
Giving information about the upcoming programs, he said that the process of celebration has not stopped yet. On March 19, special religious rituals will be performed in major temples of total 73 settlements of Udaipur city. These include Maha Aarti, Ganga Aarti and mass recitation of Hanuman Chalisa, so that the spiritual benefits of the New Year can reach every citizen.
Cultural evening and excitement of the procession
As part of the event, participation will be taken in the procession of Chetichand festival on March 20, while on March 21, the atmosphere will be purified with blowing of conch shells and blowing of bells in the major temples of the city. The main attraction of this entire festival will be the grand procession and religious meeting to be held on 22 March. On this day, a huge cultural program will be organized in the evening, in which famous artist Ashok Manda Vishnoi will perform.
Despite such a big rally, due to better coordination of the administration and the committee, the arrangements in the city remained smooth. For the people of Udaipur, this vehicle rally has become not just an event but a powerful medium to feel proud of their ancient heritage and time calculation.
On this occasion, Paramveer Singh Dulawat, Rajni Dangi, Phool Singh Meena MLA, Jinendra Shastri Shankar Lodha, Dinesh Gupta, Vijay Lakshmi Kumawat, Alka Mundra, Ravikant Tripathi, Vishnu Nagda, Kamal Kumawat, Hemendra Shrimali, Dhanraj Bhai, Sadhu Sant Mahila Shakti Yuva Shakti were present.
