Jaipur. Training will be given to all the concerned assistant engineers and personnel of power distribution corporations to easily issue industrial electricity connections to the entrepreneurs in the state. All three distribution corporations will provide training to engineers on Terms and Conditions of Supply and regulation rules within two months. Along with this, if the file of any industrial connection application is pending for more than 21 days, then it will be reviewed weekly by a higher officer and the applications pending for more than 45 days will be reviewed through video conference at the level of the Managing Director. Chairman Discoms Aarti Dogra gave these instructions on Wednesday while reviewing the electricity connection applications of large, medium and small industrial categories with the superintending engineers of the three power distribution corporations. In the video conference, he said that a similar manual should be prepared for all the personnel for training. He directed that industrial electricity connections should be issued expeditiously to all eligible applications and there should be no negligence in this. Chief Engineer, Superintending Engineer and Executive Engineer should regularly review such outstanding connections through NCMS portal. Do not hang up the connection by making unnecessary comments in the files.
Chairman Discoms directed to ensure that applications are not put on hold by making unnecessary comments on the files on the pretext of minor deficiencies. He said that the applicant should be given a check list of required documents and works along with the application. If there is any deficiency at the applicant’s level, inform him immediately so that the desired documents can be completed.
List of pending connections will be shared with industrial associations
Ms. Dogra said that the Circle Superintending Engineer should hold a meeting with the industrial associations every month and share the list of outstanding industrial connection applications that month. Information about the number, timing of power tripping on industrial feeders and the time taken to restore supply will also be given in the meeting. He directed that the Superintending Engineer should prepare a plan to reduce tripping on industrial feeders and submit it to the Zonal Chief Engineer.
Dogra reviewed the outstanding industrial connections with all the superintending engineers circle wise and gave instructions for regular monitoring.
Managing Director of Ajmer Electricity Distribution Corporation KP Verma, Directors Technical and Chief Engineers of all the three Electricity Distribution Corporations were also present in the meeting.
