Tehran, May 24 (). Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian said on Sunday that Iran is ready to assure the world that it does not want to develop nuclear weapons. Their country does not want unrest, but it is the Jewish regime that is using every opportunity to keep war and unrest alive.
“The government’s priority is to ensure people’s livelihood. Despite the problems, officials are working around the clock to meet people’s needs,” Pejeshkian said, according to a report by Iran’s state news agency IRNA.
Regarding the recent talks between Tehran and the US, Pejeshkian said, “We declare that we are ready to assure the world that we do not want nuclear weapons. What is trying to destabilize the region is the Israeli regime, which is working on the plan of ‘Greater Israel’.”
Addressing the people of Iran, he thanked them for their savings and asked them to think about efficiency in terms of energy and fuel.
In a meeting with managers of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in Tehran on Sunday, Pejeshkian also said that no decision will be taken in Iran outside the framework of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) and without the coordination and permission of the Supreme Leader, the report said.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Foreign Minister Dr. S. In a joint press conference with Jaishankar, he said that there has been a lot of progress in diplomatic efforts between America and Iran. He also indicated that good news may come about the Strait of Hormuz in the coming few hours.
Rubio also reiterated US President Donald Trump’s stand that Iran can never have nuclear weapons.
