IRCTC, a subsidiary of Indian Railways, has launched a 4-day tour package named ‘Misty Munnar with Houseboat Stay’. After reaching Kochi Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station on June 17, 2026, you will depart for Munnar. During your trip to Munnar, you will get a chance to enjoy the greenery, mountains and natural views of Kerala. On reaching Munnar you will check-in to your hotel. After this you will have time to relax or explore Munnar town and do some shopping. You will have to stay at a hotel in Munnar at night.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Munnar
After breakfast, the tour will begin to explore the beautiful attractions of Munnar. First of all, you will visit Eravikulam National Park to see the beauty of nature and mountains. Next, you will visit the Tea Museum, where you can learn about the tea making process and the history of tea in Munnar. In the afternoon, you will visit Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point, where you can enjoy the mountains, the lake and the pleasant weather. In the evening, you will have the option to watch the Punarjani Cultural Show (ticket cost to be borne by the passenger). You will have to stay at a hotel in Munnar at night.
Day 3: Munnar to Kumarakom (Houseboat Experience)
After breakfast and check-out from hotel, you will proceed to Kumarakom. Upon reaching there you will check-in to a beautiful houseboat. Lunch will be served on the houseboat. You will then enjoy a spectacular boat ride in the famous backwaters of Kerala. The surrounding water, greenery and tranquil atmosphere will make your trip memorable. Cruise Schedule: The boat will sail from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a 30-minute break for lunch. The cruise will then run from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Due to regulations, boating is not allowed after 5:30 pm; Hence, the houseboat will stop at the designated place. After this there will be dinner and night stay on the houseboat.
Day 4: Return to Kochi from Kumarakom.
After breakfast, you will check-out from the houseboat and proceed to Kochi (Ernakulam). On the way you will visit Hill Palace Museum. After lunch, you will explore the famous sites of Kochi, including the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening you will be dropped at Ernakulam Railway Station or Kochi Airport, thus ending the tour.
