Ranchi, 21 September (). The Jharkhand BJP has accused the allocation of tenders in the health department in the state of massive disturbances and bias. Addressing a press conference at the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP office on Sunday, party spokesperson Ajay Shah said that in the last one year, all the tenders of health equipment and drug supplies in six districts of the state were given to companies of the same family. Not only this, all these companies are registered at the same address.
The party spokesperson issued documents related to this at the press conference claiming that this is a major scam, which has been carried out under the patronage of state health minister Irfan Ansari.
According to the documents released by the BJP, in the last one year, the Health Department issued 11 tenders in Ranchi, Dumka, Jamtara, Saraikela, Bokaro and Deoghar districts. All these tenders were given to three companies of the same family of Ranchi- Hind Infratech, Bharat Suppliers and Global Suppliers. These three companies have been registered with the same address and two of them have only one person director.
Ajay Sah, based on the documents, claimed that the directors of all these companies are followers of special religion. He cited the provisions of the Gem (Government E-Market Place) portal, saying that if the same person bid through different companies, then his bid is considered technically disqualified. Despite this, these companies were declared eligible and not only issued a work order, but was also paid.
He called it ‘well -planned robbery’. The BJP spokesperson said that such a large irregularity could not be possible without the information and protection of the Health Minister. According to him, the tender process in the department is not transparent and a glimpse of ‘religious appeasement’ is clearly visible in it.
He raised the question that the Congress party talks about protecting the Constitution on the one hand, while in its government, the rules are being kept on hold to benefit the same community. The discussion of the RIMS-2 project is also being done only with the aim of taking economic benefits through new contracts and not to provide better health facilities to the people of the state.
The BJP spokesperson said that if the government remains silent in this matter, it would be considered direct involvement in the scam. He warned that the party will raise this issue from the road to the House and make the public aware of the truth.
