CM Dhami in Bihar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while addressing a huge public meeting in Harsiddhi in East Champaran district of Bihar, fiercely targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Dhami accused the opposition leaders of indulging in ‘divisive politics’ and having no clear vision for the development of Bihar.
Addressing a rally in support of BJP candidate Krishnanandan Paswan, Dhami said opposition leaders are more concerned about vote-bank interests than good governance or public welfare. He stressed that BJP’s governance model focuses on law and order and development and not on appeasement or vote-bank politics.
Dhami on ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Religious Conversion’
Drawing parallels between Uttarakhand and Bihar, Dhami highlighted the steps taken in his state to crack down on “love jihad,” religious conversions and unregistered madrassas. He announced that if BJP returns to power in Bihar, similar policies will be implemented here too.
Dhami also attacked those whom he accused of mocking Hindu traditions and festivals. He said, “Those who ridicule festivals like Chhath Puja are insulting Sanatan Dharma and the sentiments of crores of devotees.”
‘Jungle Raj’ and ‘Hollow Promises’
Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) national president Santosh Suman, who was present with Dhami at the rally, also echoed the opposition’s criticism, saying that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi imitate Wakhde “without means or intention”. Suman said, “Bihar does not need a government that takes it back to the days of ‘Jungle Raj’. People want stability and progress, not empty promises.” He also challenged Rahul Gandhi to present evidence for the allegations of vote theft.
Counterattack on Rahul Gandhi’s ‘drama’ statement
This rally is part of BJP’s intensified election campaign. On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi is facing increasing criticism for his statements made at a joint rally with Tejashwi Yadav in Muzaffarpur on Wednesday, where he accused Prime Minister Modi of “doing anything for votes”. Rahul had reportedly said that Modi ji only cares about votes and also accused him of doing “drama” in the name of Chhath Puja.
Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Also posted on ‘X’ that “No appeasement, no repression. Bihar will once again elect the NDA government.” He alleged that the only objective of Congress and RJD was to run scams and fill the coffers of their families and not to worry about the children of the common people. He said Bihar had endured ‘jungle raj’ under RJD rule, where extortion, murder, kidnapping and fear were part of everyday life.
