Mumbai, December 17 (). A shocking video of a car allegedly driving at high speed on Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli Sea Link has gone viral on social media. In this video it can be seen that the car is running at a speed of 251 km per hour on the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Now the police has taken action in this matter.
A video that has gone viral on social media shows a yellow Lamborghini car speeding on the Sea Link at a speed of about 251 kilometers per hour. The video was reportedly shot by the person sitting in the car himself and was later shared widely on social media platforms.
After the video went viral, Mumbai Police came into action. Worli police took immediate action and seized the luxury car in question and registered a case against the driver on charges of dangerous and reckless driving. According to police officials, driving at such a high speed could have been extremely dangerous not only for the driver but also for other people walking on the road.
Police investigation has revealed that the registration number of the seized Lamborghini car is HR 70 F 1945. A case has been registered under Section 281 of the Indian Judicial Code as well as Section 183 (rash driving) and Section 184 (dangerous driving) of the Motor Vehicles Act. The car has been brought to Worli police station, while the accused driver Irfan Edenwala has also been called to the police station for questioning.
Bandra-Worli Sea Link is an important and state-of-the-art road project of Mumbai, which has been built keeping in mind the heavy traffic and high-speed vehicles.
Mumbai Police has appealed to citizens to follow traffic rules and not risk their lives and that of others just to gain popularity on social media.
