The cases of extortion and blackmailing are continuously increasing in the district. The third case has come to light in a month. In this case, a woman conspired with her sister’s husband to blackmail her.
He made an obscene video with Jitendra, an employee of a private company. Then they extorted Rs 2 lakh from him by threatening to make the video viral. After this he asked for Rs 3 lakh more. Jitendra lodged a complaint with the police. Nandini police registered a case against the women, Damini Soni and Aslam Rafiq alias Chintu, under sections 308(2) and 3(5) of the IPC. Accused Aslam was arrested and sent to jail. Damini is absconding since then.
Police said that accused Damini and her brother-in-law Aslam alias Chintu had created a false story of extortion and blackmail. Accused Aslam told the police that his sister-in-law Damini had called Jitendra to her house. Then he did obscene acts with her in another room and made a video of it.
On September 7, 2024, Aslam and Damini reached Jeetendra’s house, showed him obscene videos and demanded Rs 2 lakh. Damini threatened that if he did not give the money, she would make the video viral, due to which he would not be able to live in the society. Fearing this, Jeetendra gave him two lakh rupees. But, Aslam and Damini keep blackmailing him, and demand three lakh more rupees. Troubled by this, applicant Jitendra Sahu lodged a complaint with Nandini police.
Accused Damini sent a friend request to Jitendra Sahu through social media. After that he asked for her mobile number in the message. After that Damini started talking to him through WhatsApp. The closeness between Damini and Jitendra grew. After this, accused Damini trapped him in his love trap, called him to her house and had physical relations with him. During this time, she made a video and along with her brother-in-law, started blackmailing him and demanding money.
