Indore, October 13 (). A tragic accident occurred when a tractor-trolley overturned near Chandravatiganj in the evening near Indore. Three people died and 25 others were injured in this accident. However, officials later confirmed another death.
The deceased were identified as Jankibai (40) and Kamla Bai (50), while a minor died when he was being taken for medical aid. According to police officials, the condition of two others is critical and they will soon be taken to any hospital in Indore.
The victims of the accident are said to be farmers; Everyone was returning home after working in the fields. The tractor-trolley, commonly used for group transportation in rural areas, lost its balance and overturned. The exact cause of the accident has not been confirmed yet.
Agricultural laborers were returning from Ratankhedi to their homes in Hariyakhedi and Bivikhedi. Police said that the vehicle overturned in the middle of the road. Emergency services responded immediately and 15 ambulances were dispatched to the scene. The injured were taken to Civil Hospital Saver for immediate medical aid.
The district administration has alerted government and private hospitals to control the number of casualties. A senior police officer said that about 25 farmers, including women, were traveling in the trolley at the time of the incident.
“All the people sitting in the trolley were injured when it overturned,” the officer said. Farming communities often use tractor-trolleys to transport passengers, raising serious safety concerns.
Authorities are expected to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and assess whether overloading or road conditions played a role.
Local authorities have assured that necessary medical care is being provided to the injured and further assistance will be provided to the families of the deceased. After this devastating accident, there is a wave of mourning in the area and the community is immersed in grief.
