New Delhi. In another major action, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested another main accused in the question paper leak case of NEET-UG 2026 exam. The investigating agency said that so far a total of 11 accused have been arrested in this case. According to CBI, the arrested accused has been identified as Manisha Sanjay Havildar, who was working at Seth Hiralal Saraf Prashala, Pune, Maharashtra. She was involved in the examination process as an expert appointed by the National Testing Agency and had access to the Physics question papers. The investigating agency claims that in April 2026, Manisha Havaldar had shared some questions of Physics subject with co-accused Manisha Mandare, who has already been arrested on May 16. CBI said that the questions shared were found to match the actual question paper of the exam.
In this case, CBI has conducted raids at many places across the country, in which laptops, mobile phones, bank documents and other materials have been recovered. Investigation of the seized digital and documentary evidence is ongoing. The CBI had registered this case on May 12 based on the complaint of the Higher Education Department of the Education Ministry. In the complaint, serious allegations of paper leak in NEET were made.
The investigating agency said that after the initial action, many suspects across the country were detained and interrogated. After this, the network connected to Delhi, Jaipur, Gurugram, Nashik, Pune, Latur and Ahilyanagar was exposed.
According to the CBI, the investigation has also revealed that some middlemen used to connect such students who paid lakhs of rupees to attend special coaching classes, where questions allegedly appearing in the examination were provided. CBI has said that the investigation of the case is being carried forward in a completely impartial and professional manner and all levels of the paper leak network are being identified.
