Dausa ‘Ratri Chaupal’ was organized in Thumdi Gram Panchayat of Nangal Rajawatan subdivision on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Dausa District Collector Dr. Soumya Jha. During this, the Collector not only listened to the complaints of the villagers, but also gave clear instructions to the officials that no negligence of any kind will be tolerated in solving public problems. The villagers who reached the Chaupal in large numbers filed a number of complaints related to the basic facilities of the village. Major problems included: Encroachment and road problems: Demand for removal of illegal encroachments from public roads and ease of movement.
Drinking water crisis: To ensure provision of drinking water in schools, crematoriums and temple dhanis.
Development work: Construction of additional class rooms in the school and establishment of new sub health centre.
Benefit of the schemes: Appeal to add the names of eligible people by removing the technical problems being faced in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Strict attitude of Collector: “Work with sensitivity” After listening to the complaints of the villagers, Dr. Soumya Jha sought answers from the officials present on the spot. He clarified that:
Quick disposal: Problems which can be solved at local or departmental level should be solved immediately.
Send proposals: Proposals for works that require budget or higher level approval should be sent to the headquarters immediately.
Sensitivity: Instructed the officials to show seriousness in reaching the benefits of government schemes to the last mile person.
During the Chaupal, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Birdichand Gangwal, Nangal Rajawatan Subdivision Officer (SDO) Yashwant Meena and all the officials of PHED, Electricity Department, Revenue and Development Department were present. The administration assured the villagers that their demands would be actioned in a time bound manner.
